It is an extremely resourceful skill for anyone trying to expand the business as it plays a crucial role in developing a successful network. However, it is always important to gain quality leads over quantity in order to prosper. Here are a few tips to help make prospecting easy and resourceful.

Meet at least 50 people a day

One of the most important aspects of MLM prospecting is to meet new people. Make it a goal to meet and greet at least 50 people a day, even if they are not prospects, it will help develop a sense of comfort among strangers. It doesn’t matter where you are at the movies, at the grocery store or even when walking down the street, just look at a stranger in the eye, smile and say “hello”. You never know what business options this might open up to.


Collect business cards

When you initiate a conversation with people, try to get their business card or at least their contact info. Let them know that you are interested in their business and that you would like to get in touch with them in the future. You will be surprised how many people are willing to hand you their business cards after knowing you for just a few minutes. Once you get their contact information, you can reach out to them any time you like and do a follow up with your business opportunities.

Develop a strong posture

Read up on good body posture. Over 90% of our communication is non-verbal. If your body position comes across as cold and unwelcoming, it might turn people off. Remember, your primary objective is to build a trustworthy relationship with a prospect. The only way you can do this is by developing a confident and bold personality.

Never mention business

At least in the first meet. Keep your business matters to yourself and focus on building a good rapport. Get to know the person well, and make a good first impression. You can talk business sometime in the future when the timing is right.

Develop an eye for sharp people

People who are dressed nicely and are friendly are usually great prospects. They usually tend to be happy, and carry a confident demeanor. These kinds of people are generally receptive to new business opportunities, which will work in your favor. Once you get a hang of getting in touch with new people and interacting with them for forwarding your business interests, you will see yourself several notches ahead of other workers. Just keep going in the right direction and you will find yourself where you want to be.
